Send Us Your Plans

The best ideas on Wacfest Weekends have nearly always started in someone else's inbox. A reader wondering how to manage a festival with a four-year-old. Someone halfway through planning a garden party who could not work out how many chairs to hire. A traveller asking what to pack for three days and a train. If you have a plan in the making, a question or a correction, we would like to hear it.

How to reach us

Email is the only way to contact the team: desk@wacfest.com. All messages land on the same shared desk and are read by one of the three of us. The form on this page simply opens a new email in your own mail program, already addressed, so you can check it before sending.

We do not have a phone line or a postal address for visitors, and we never ask for personal details beyond what you choose to include in your message.

Good reasons to drop us a line

  • Events worth covering. A local festival, a craft fair or a seasonal market you think deserves a closer look.
  • Weekend questions. Something you are planning and cannot quite figure out. If it is a common puzzle, it may become an article.
  • Corrections. A date that has changed, a detail we got wrong or advice that has gone out of date. Please tell us which page you mean.
  • Your own experiences. A tip that made a trip easier or a family day that went better than expected.
  • Business enquiries. If your company offers something that fits our subjects, you are welcome to get in touch.

What happens next

We try to answer every message within a few days, though it can take longer around busy holiday weekends. Corrections are checked against the original source and fixed as soon as we can confirm them. Story ideas go onto our shared list; we cannot promise to cover every one, but we read them all.

We cannot give personal professional advice, for example on legal agreements, building work or health questions. Questions like these deserve an answer from someone qualified to give it.

Before you write

Your question might already be answered. The map of the guide lists our articles by type of weekend, and the handy planners page collects our most practical lists. You can also browse events or family ideas directly.

Your details

We use your email address and message only to reply and, where relevant, to fix an article. Nothing is added to a mailing list or passed on. The details are explained in Privacy at Wac Fest.

This opens your email app with the message ready to send to desk@wacfest.com. Nothing is stored on this site.

Writing to us

So we can write back sooner

A few details make it much easier to help with your message.

  • The page or article you are writing about, if there is one.
  • For corrections, what you think is wrong and where you saw the right information.
  • For event tips, the name, place and rough dates.
  • A subject line that sums up the message in a few words.
  • Nothing private you would rather not share by email.
